No code or password is shared. Zaira connects to Kalshi using your Access Key and a private RSA key you generate in your Kalshi account. The private key signs every request, so only your signed account can be used — and nothing is shared with anyone.
Zaira is read-only: it checks the exchange status, searches and inspects prediction markets, events, and series, reads order books and recent trades, shows your balance and positions, and pulls perps (margin) market data and funding rates. Place orders and management actions stay in the Kalshi app for now.
Yes, when margin trading is enabled for your account. Perps have been rolling out member-by-member, so if yours isn't enabled yet Zaira will tell you rather than error out — and you can still use all the non-margin market tools in any environment, including demo.
Production talks to the live Kalshi exchange and your real account. Demo talks to Kalshi's free demo environment with fictional balances, which is a great way to test reads safely. You pick the environment when you connect and can switch later.
Yes. Your Access Key and private key are stored encrypted, requests are signed on every call and never shared, and Zaira only performs the read actions you ask for. You control access and can disconnect at any time.
